The Senior IT Specialist oversees the strategic direction, administration, and daily operations of Meiborg’s technology environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining stable infrastructure, strengthening security, leading IT projects, and guiding junior IT staff. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with leadership ability and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

1. Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals.
2. Oversee daily IT operations, infrastructure performance, and system reliability.
3. Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Infrastructure Management

1. Design, upgrade, and maintain network architecture including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and cloud systems.
2. Administer and secure servers, databases, and mission-critical systems.
3. Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of hardware and software.

Project Management

1. Lead complex IT initiatives from planning through implementation.
2. Coordinate cross-departmental project work, timelines, and deliverables.

Security & Compliance

1. Implement security protocols and continuously monitor for vulnerabilities.
2. Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Team Leadership & Development

1. Mentor, supervise, and support IT staff.
2. Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Advanced Troubleshooting & Support

1. Perform root-cause analysis on high-level system issues.
2. Provide escalated support to end-users and leadership.

Vendor & Budget Management

1. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement.
2. Assist in preparing and managing IT budgets.
