First Level Tech Assistance
The JR IT Representative provides essential first-level technical support across the organization, ensuring our employees have the tools and systems they need to stay productive and secure. This role supports day-to-day operations by troubleshooting issues, maintaining hardware and software, and assisting with network and system administration tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Provide front-line technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems to maintain smooth system operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, software applications, and network devices.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Manage help desk tickets and ensure issues are resolved within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and support activities.
- Assist with network monitoring, user account setup, access permissions, and basic security protocols.
Additional Duties
- Support senior IT staff with larger projects and infrastructure initiatives.
- Participate in backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Provide user training on new hardware, software, and system features.
- Monitor system logs and report potential security concerns or unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
- Familiarity with diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues.
- Experience with Windows-based operating systems.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Experience using a ticketing system.
- Ability to follow structured IT procedures and document work.
