    Position Purpose:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Development Representative to join the Meiborg Logistics group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities and building partnerships in the supply chain sector, primarily for our 3PL logistics department. This individual will collaborate with various departments to identify core prospective and qualified leads, negotiating contracts and pricing, preparing proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as a

    proven track record of understanding client needs, developing strategic relationships, and driving overall business growth.

    Responsibilities:
    • Researching, identifying, and qualifying potential customers and new business opportunities.
    • Building and nurturing relationships with potential and existing clients through networking, meetings, and industry events.
    • Analyzing client requirements and collaborating with internal logistics teams to develop customized supply chain solutions.
    • Preparing and delivering compelling proposals, presentations, and sales collateral to secure new business.
    • Negotiating contracts, rates, and pricing strategies for various logistics services.
    • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to identify strategic opportunities.
    • Working with internal teams, including operations, sales, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on business development activities and pipeline progress.
    Qualifications:
    • Highly detailed and deadline orientated with the ability to prioritize, focus and through in a high paced multi-tasking environment
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal, written, negotiation skills
    • Sales and business acumen
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
    • Excellent analytical ability
    • Understanding of industry trends, freight markets and various modes, best practices, and emerging technologies
    • Ability to type 45 words per minute
